I bought the key for the storage room at the Dino-Bite and took all the rockets. When I went to place them around my motel room, it said the stack was a quest item and won't let me drop it.

The question is; What quest are they for? O.o

The quest for the ghouls they contain radiation thus you buy them all they will work for the fuel source.

the quest for the ghouls...aka "come fly with me" first started in novac by manny vargas i believe, head west to the REPCONN facility and follow the instruction the "ghoul" gives you from the intercom

There are more rockets in that storage room then would be needed for that quest....there has to be someone else who collects them. It was said that they only needed 5 rockets, theres like 100 of them in there.

Alternatively you can screw the rockets and go out to Carson Field. Heck the ghouls tell you this!

Yeah I retrieved it and stored it in ed-e, so now I always have it if I need it. Never know where the radiation lerks!

You can either go find the rad suit guy to Carson, or buy the rockets for 100 caps (or 10 if you pass the Barter check).

I found him dead next to a couple of Golden Geckos.
