I love the gun to pieces, but it's easily the hardest AR to use. I use it with a Muzzle Break and either a C-U-Gone RDS or COGA Scope (will probably use the Greeneye when I get it). I might even try it without a MB to see if the cut on Range is really bad. The stats are deceiving, and nowadays I tend to avoid Drum/Extended mags unless VITAL since the real penalty to accuracy seems worse than the perceived penalty. Unbuffed, it will kill unbuffed Light/Medium in 3 shots and Heavy in 4. I don't dare use a Suppressor, winds up taking 4 shots to kill a Medium... haven't tried it on any others.
The problem with the gun is that it suffers the exact same issues as other Assault Rifles, where rapidly-sustained fire will cause spread to increase drastically. This takes its toll on the Rokstedi more so than others because of it's semi-auto fire, which relies on precision. The gun can fire a LOT quicker than it takes for the accuracy to settle, so spamming shots can leave you with Gotlung-sized spread.
What I always do to try out the performance of a new gun is go to the Escort Duty challenge, stand in the spawn area and fire at the wall beyond the green shield. That room gives you plenty of space to move around freely whilst firing, and even has a caged wall blocking off a REEAALLY long hallway to test out ranged accuracy.
With the Rokstedi, you'll notice that firing rapidly at the wall your bullets will start to fly EVERYWHERE after the second shot, especially whilst strafing... which really isn't ideal considering it's within close range. The correct way to use the gun then, is to either: fire very slowly and steadily, with little expectation for a kill; or as I've found, crouching significantly reduces spread, and allows you to fire around twice as quick with little penalty to accuracy. And you can still strafe slowly!
Hope you all enjoyed today's lesson.
