Roughly how long may gamesas Announce the next TES?

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 6:34 pm

Oblivion was announced in 2004, 2 years after morrowind was released in 2002. Skyrim was announced in 2010, 4 years after oblivion was released in 2006.
Roughly how long will gamesas make the next TES announcement? Are they waiting for the new generation of consoles/gpus/PCs?
And since the cycle of TES and fallout games is: TES, Fallout, TES, fallout etc, , do u think gamesas might announce TES 6 sooner or later(after the DLC of cuz).
I cant wait for tes 6(if there is one) since i wonder how the graphics might look like. I am thinking maybe one step closer to the realworld images?

edit: fallout 4 coming out in 2012 might be a lie, apparently some idiot on youtube made the trailer i think. Not too sure, seems legit to me though

I could care less about the graphics. My only curiosity of TES 6 is where it will take place.

But really... It'll be about 4 years before we hear anything... and I can wait.

Did I read that out of context? Somewhere in an Interview from several months ago Todd said they were planning Fallout 4 sometime before 2018.

In order that TES and Fallout have been published is Oblivion, Fo3, New Vegas, Skyrim.

I don't think we'll see it for a long, long time. Maybe never.

I noticed in comments some people think it is real. Also someone thinks its Chicago, another Texas.... It seems people would rather know lies than know nothing.

Probably 4 years. I say this because now Bethesda is also working on another franchise, Fallout. I hope we'll see at least two expansions for Skyrim, though.

Nobody can say when Bethesda announces what. If they do it'll be extremely speculative.

I don't think we'll see it for a long, long time. Maybe never.

Most certainly not never. BGS doesn't have many other high selling series besides TES and Fallout.

Todd Howard has stated that they plan to support Skyrim for MUCH longer than the other games in the series. Might be 2 years of DLC, patches, and Expansions for us. I am fine with that.

Given the success of Skyim they may have teams working on Fallout 4 and TES 6 at the same time. Would be great if Bethesda joined up with Obsidian but I doubt we will see Obsidian and BGS work together again. Even if it as contractor and contract-ee.

Given that they announced Skyrim in December of 2010, or four years after Oblivion came out, and like two years after The Shivering Isles came out, I think we are in for a wait for TES VI. Besides, what's the rush? Skyrim only just came out and there is a bright future for the DLC for the game.
