As a fellow PS3 player that had to suffer Fallout 3 and Skyrim on PS3, If this happened to any xbox players or PC players they would cry. We had 50 million threads on DX11 and the UI and we didn't complain and they didn't even fix performance at least you can play it. TBH I'm seeing a lot of immaturity on this board especially from the so called ''positive fans''. If someone has a problem they can express it, just don't post in the thread.
PC gamers who have been around long enough really should understand that too. The problem has gone both ways for decades: lots of console games have been unplayable on PC and lots of PC games have been unplayable on consoles. Somehow this never stopped them from getting made.
Yeah, as a PC gamer I tend to think of the PS3 as a bit of a joke most of the time, but if Bethesda wanted to release Skyrim for PS3 it should at least work most of the time. They do have a problem with retaining old bugs in their engines and not fixing them for years; it applies to all platforms. Sadly, the issues on PS3 are often deal breakers for the players it seems (not usually the players' faults).
@AssassinVenice; Your position makes sense. If you're not interested in trying to navigate the potential pitfalls of playing on the PS3 then put it off. Maybe you'll have more fun. Personally, I still think TES games play better on PC and would wait until I had a PC capable of it if I was in your position.
When I came to this thread I expected you to say you had another game in mind. Skyrim may be the game I've spent the most time with this year, but I do have to say that Portal 2 was awesome, and I'd be voting for it if Skyrim hadn't come out. This has more to do with me being an Elder Scrolls junkie than anything else.
