I have finished the quest "Blood on the Ice" and am curious as to whether I could store items in Hjerm -before- I purchased it as a house. I actually never plan on doing the prerequisites to buy it but think it would be the loveliest little hovel to store some particularly evil items I have accrued along my travels . . . *cough* Ebony blade *cough* . . . as I'm too gentle of an adventurer to leave it in a house I own. I mean, c'mon, I don't want poor Lydia corrupted by evil Daedric influences when all she obviously wants to do is be left alone to eat her bread.

Anyone else found any good non-respawning spots to call a home away from home?

Just buy another house.

I have a couple, but I was wondering if there are safe containers besides your traditionaly purchased houses. The wikis list a few but it doesn't seem like a comprehensive list. Hjerm pre thaneship is not listed, for instance.

Archmages Quarters, and the DB hideout are once you finish the questlines...I think.
