How would you even get the body in a house? Can you carry it while opening the door?

There are very few worthwhile thralls that are permanent bodies. In fact the only one I can think of that I would possibly want as a thrall is Orchendor. There are much better thralls, however. The problem is that the corpse reset was changed to 1 day in a recent patch, so not visiting a cell for 1 day will cause any non-permanent corpses to reset. Also, the thrall's original cell resetting can cause them to disappear. Beth really screwed over necromancers in their attempt to patch the game.

A lot of people complain about this, and I don't really understand it. No, it's not perfect, but I used thralls for hundreds of hours of gameplay and can count on both hands the number of times I lost them during fast travel.

After they follow you into your house, you kill them, they thank you, and you place them where/how you want.

There's a game? Is it related to this site?

Not everyone has played a Necromancer. The fact that he knew you could carry a body indicates he's played the game.

Didn't they do this because it caused huge lag problems? I've only messed with Dead Thrall on a very small scale, but I've read things that made it sound like once you cast Dead Thrall on any NPC it becomes a permanent corpse. This is made worse by the fact that a replacement spawns at the location from wherever you thralled the original. Is/was this the case?
