Save loadouts

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 8:18 pm

So i was just thinking about the whole being able to change your character during game when you die.(class and weapon when your alive or dead dont remember which.) (Body type and everything else when your dead or between games don't remember if you can when your dead in game)

But the question is Do you guys think you whould be able to save stuff under presets so you can quick switch between class/body/weapon setups. Example. For operative have your gun and skill/gun upgrades so you can chose that and it loads you out with it instantly from a Medic so you have your medic skill/gun upgrades all set.

EDIT: seems a lot of ppl kinda get what im saying but not really.

So what i mean is if say my favorite player type is Operative and for every map i have a different setup (gear weapons blah blah blah)

I think i should be able to save every one like

Operative setup 1
Operative setup 2
ETC...

And just quick select a load out

I don't think you can switch your body type mid game

At the very least it should remember your last used loadout, BC2 didn't do this at first and it made switching classes on the fly a pain.

yeah, you cant change body type mid game cuz you pick one of your characters that have their own look and feel before you even pick our mission, but yes....we should be able to save weapon loadouts :)

you customize the guns, and they stay like that until you change them.
even if ingame you pick the kross smg, and then later switch to, let's say a shotgun, if you then go back to the kross, you'll still have it customized the way you wanted it.

as for the abilities, those will remain until modified aswell.

I don't see why it wouldn't save everything from gear to abilities. Otherwise, whats the point of making a character if you just have to remake him every time you start it up.

In some video they said that there are 16 slots. So I think you can have 16 different characters. And then there are those command posts. But I'm not sure if you can change your character or only loadout in those. Kind of confusing.

i think I read from somewhere that you could actually make own ability sets for each class on your character. no switching bodytype in the middle of a match tho. and customized weapons will be saved (and you can make few loadouts to choose from maybe??)

You set up loadouts like MW2, and you can change at terminals or when you die.

it saves the clothing that you picked but you will have to choose your abilities before every game. you can buy as many as you can afford but you can only choose 3 to bring into the game. im not sure about weapons

in the E3 demo thing the command posts had options to change to the 4 different classes and then it had a light medium and heavy weapon load out, not sure if there was anything else

I don't think you can choose between body type load outs in the middle of the battle.

Correct you can save up to 16 different chacters. At command posts you can change weapons and class. That is it as far as we know.

If you remember the E3 video. You choose your outfit, weapons and abilities.

Were you there or this just from a vid? Last I heard there weren't specific weapon loadouts anymore (light, med, heavy)

yeah. im not 100% sure about this. its either a loadout or you pick your weapons and abilities right before the game starts

it was like that in the container city videos

I think it will have set loadouts for each character. Each character you have will have 3 loadouts i hope, so if you changed character, you change loadout.

i think you choose guns and abilities prior to a match, and then at the command posts you again choose guns.
not really load-outs, you just get "light" "medium" and "heavy" gun lists, after picking one you get the list of available guns.
all of them are standard if you hadn't customized any, and if you did customize them, you'll get the customized version of the gun

I think your character shouldn't be changeable mid game. Class, sure, abilitiies, well, I haven't read enough to know how much those spin the game around.
I mean I just think that changing characters mid game is a bit much and could upset the balance of a game.

I know you could change weapon load outs at command posts. But I don't think you can change your body type. I hope you can't either. Because I think it would be strange seeing a guy who was as skinny as a stick and then the guy looks like he has biceps the size of tree trucks. Just my two cents.

I will say yes to your weapon and skill loadouts... but for you characters look... i think you should be restricted to what you chose at the start of that match. As im pretty sure that constant changes could cause server lag or loading problems for the game.
