Hi,

I'm new to Fallout completely, and I was enjoying the game - got to level 11 and was on the quest to take the robotic dog to the scientist. Long story short, I was poisoned by a cazadore and ran into a building to try to use the bed to heal and the game autosaved right before I died. I have no other saved games and I die on load (I'm using an xbox 360 btw). Is there anything I can do?

No other saves at all? You were just going by auto save the entire time?

Do you die right after you load? or do you have at least a couple seconds? because if you do you can try loading up on healing items or better yet an anti poison if you have it.

Didn't read far enough to see you're on the XBox. there is a backup save file, I just don't know how to get to it on that box.

No unfortunately I didn't realise the autosave just layered onto the same slot and the death is pretty much instantaneous.

I know the game makes a backup save (just one) but i don't know how to get to it on the XBox. I asked a mod to move this into the XBox forum for you.

And the moral of the story is: Don't rely on a singular save especially not an autosave.
Try pressing the B button during the whole loading screen like clickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickloadedclickopeninventoryfixed?

No idea then, do you have an earlier save?
Cause the only other way is clicking the B button like crazy and hope that you're a millisecond faster than the death sequence.
