Saved Game Slot Space

Alright, i was talking to some friends today and they were all complaining of the fact that because of the DLC glitch they have about 10-20 of the same game at diffrent points, some insanley far back. I think ive developed a safe 3 save method so people can have sevral diffrent profiles so the load screen isnt so cluttered.
-Create Character
-After a major point(Such as completion of Run goodsprings Run) save the game as a new save
-Save after a second major point such as walking to Primm, again in a new save
-Save third time after doing just about anything major(Goes for all of them, primm and quest are just examples)
-When you want to save again, this time, save on the first save and then the next time of the second save, and so on.

Through this method i have been able to have multiple games neatly organized, so what do you guys think?

This is on the PC but I generally cycle through five saves and in addition make a permanent save every 2-3 levels or so, generally right before or after a major event. This isn't just for FONV, that's how I work with most games.

Your method seems sound for someone who wants to minimize their saves although I'd recommend alternating between two files rather than constantly saving over the same one. This not only gives you some leeway in case you save after something stupid but also keeps the machine from going over the same spaces over and over again.
