Saving my mods

Post » Mon Jun 18, 2012 2:15 am

I have been creating mods, and it is going fine. But I have one problem.

When I exit a mod to test a file, then I have to save it. But when I go back again, then it wont let me keep saving to the same file. If I save to a new file, then only the recent changes, will be saved. I want it to save all changes I have done in both mods or else I end up with 50 mods, each containing parts of my work.

How can I keep the number of mods to a minimum? Appreciate all help.

Have you used "Set as active file" when loading the mod?

That is the problem. You need to check 'Set as active file,' if you're making changes to anything. Make sure you select your mod before pressing the button.

Thanks for the help. That worked.

I am new to construction set in general, and apart from that I am finding it quite okay.

It seems like it is a good thing I am new, because the experienced modders seems to be very frustrated.

Set to active is a step I've forgotten to make before too. Really svcks when you're doing something, forget to set to active, and have to copy 2 or 3 hours of work.
