Say that you are the Dragonborn, you are destined to stop al

You are the prophecy. You are the last dragonborn. And you are supposed to stop alduin.
but u died...

Lets say that the dragonborn is on his/her way to some place, ready to fight alduin. Alduin isnt dead yet. Then a bandit comes and knifed your dragonborn and he/she died.
Will the dragonborn be somehow resurrected by maybe akatosh so that he/she may continue the destiny? Or is the world doomed, really.

There's another prophecy the game alludes to: That Alduin's return heralds the End of the World. So yeah, the Dragonborn dies, Alduin goes on to destroy Tamriel.

Alduin eats the world. The world is reborn. A new kalpa begins. A bunch of elves and men fight over mortality being a gift/curse. Alduin shows up. The world is eaten. The world is reborn. A new kalpa begins. A bunch of elves and men fight over mortality being a gift/curse. Alduin shows up. The world is eaten. The world is reborn. A new kalpa begins. A bunch of elves and men fight over mortality being a gift/curse. Alduin shows up. The world is eaten. Etc...

ok lets say alduin was killed. That means the world wont reborn??? I dont see any consequences to that o.o
but if the world DID get reborn if the dragonborn died, maybe its a good thing, since basically those thalmors are gonna die anyway. But meh felt bad for the good people.

The only way the world is doomed is if you don't reload. That's the destiny of the Dragonborn.

You were the wrong dragonborn. The Gods would be like, "Oops, that one got knocked off a cliff by a dog! Next!" , and a new dragonborn would appear.

No. Defeating Alduin in Skyrim only delays the inevitable. Who knows for how long, but the kalpa must end at some point.

If the Dragonborn dies, Alduin buys everybody in Skyrim a cookie...then starts the evil cookie dragon empire.
But seriously, I think it'd be wise to just load a save.

The dragon soul is a gift from Akatosh. In other words, Akatosh doesn't want the world to end (right now) and will simply give the gift to another mortal. Rinse and repeat until one of them manages to knock some sense into his offspring.

Well if you failed then you can't have been the one mentioned in the prophecy.

The other prophesied Dragonborn will appear after your death.

And he took an arrow in the knee.

"So I got to thinking: maybe I'm the Dragonborn, only I don't know it."

Actually I'm pretty sure the prophecy doesn't say that the dragonborn defeats Alduin.

The prophecy actually states that [after a long list of injustices], Alduin will return to swallow the world, and the "wheel will turn upon the last dragonborn" (The dragonborn become the metaphorical centre of the multiverse while events play out?). It never cites that the dragonborn will defeat Alduin

I like that. They explain away the whole player-centric nature of the game by making it part of the prophecy. :lmao:
