CK says saved but...

Post » Mon Jun 18, 2012 12:53 am

Hey all. I'm having a wierd issue. I have tried creating a blank mod & a changed item mod but both times I've saved the mod. It shows as active file but it never shows up in my data directory or in mod list when firing up the game. But if I open CK again and hit data both the files are there to be selected. When saving the 2nd mod I could see the 1st mod in the Data directory with a little lock on it. But when I open the directory in Windows it's not there at all. Please help!

Verify the mods are being saved in your Skyrim directory... Lemme know where your files are at.

Only thing I can think of at this stage...

Yeah they're supposedly being saved to the Data directory but they aren't there... other mods I've installed are there but not the 2 I tried to save. But in CK it shows them there. I've even tried to save in another location for arguements sake and no success.

Please provide us with the EXACT path where your files are saved, not just "Skyrim/data" I mean including C:\x\x\x\x (x being where it is)

Hahahah. Mines on, and not having issues. I do know that Oblivion used to save into a directory COMPLETELY different than the one I had installed the game to. Try searching for your mod with the Windows Search.

My UAC is on full and I'm having no issues whatsoever.

That may actually still be his issue. UAC causes NO issues for me, but it does for plenty of others.

OP- Is there a folder in the Data folder called Compatability? If so, your esp's are being saved there, just copy it into the Data folder instead. Or try running the CK as administrator. (Right click the program, properties, compatability, always run as admin, apply/okay)

It was the godforsaken UAC! Ran as admin and all is well. Thank you!!

Glad you got it working friend, I know for experience over the last couple of days errors are frustrating. Happy modding
