Scared

Are there any Pc gamers scared Skyrim might be a disaster on Pc like Rage was? I know they where both created by different developers. But Skyrim and Rage where both focused around Consoles rather then Pc's. Look how Rage turned out.

It might be just be me since I was a victim of Rage on the Pc. Does anyone fear that Skyrim may have some major flaws on the Pc?

I thought Skyrim was focused around the PC just as much as console, but I am a console gamer, so pardon my ignorance.

Dude, EVERY TES game (including Arena and Daggerfall (MS-DOS only)) has had flaws. They are open world games.

I'd say TES are more for PC than anything else due to the modding community and I'm a console gamer.

Oh for the love of...

Rage used OpenGL to render. OpenGL is not meant for gaming and such, both Nvidia and AMD/ATI never bothered to keep their OpenGL drivers current, thus everyone was having major issues with it. Rage was a disaster because id Software is complete garbage that can only make tech demos instead of games.

Skyrim, like pretty much every game besides Rage uses DirectX. So as long as your drivers are current, there should be zero issues. Also, you literally have to go out of your way to find the majority of bugs in past Bethesda games. Personally, I have only encountered 1 bug (in Fallout 3) out of all Bethesda games, ever.

Will there be bugs? Yes. But people blow them way out of proportion.

For the last time, Bethesda PUBLISHED Rage, they didn't make Rage, ID Software did.

Couple of thing.

These sorts of threads always results in platform/console wars which results in a flaming inferno and a massive number of warnings and bans of members who are otherwise very mature.
These sorts of threads always bring out the elitist who have a belief their platform/console is a bigger dog than anyone else's and would rather fight than switch. (who remembers that commericial)

IB4 the lock.
