I've been playing for awhile and have accumulated a few hundred hours of playtime on Skyrim and only recently has this been happening.

It happens during a few instances but mostly when I go into my map. The screen will just freeze up but I can tab out of the map and hear the game running in the background. I can use spells, weapons, talk to people, run around, but I can't see any of it because the screen is still stuck on the map. When I control+alt+delete to the desktop (alt+tab doesn't seem to work for me) it's in safe mode.

I have a Nvidia Geforce GTX 550 Ti GC, but it happens even if i run at lowest settings. I thought it could be my PSU being only 650w but don't wanna buy a new one if it's just a bug.

Please help, I've gone 2 days without playing and I'm getting the shakes!

I have had the same issue except it would happen randomly anywhere not just in the map. The screen would stop updating (a still screen) but the game was still running and I could still interact with the game blindly.

I found using ENB Patch 5 resolved the issue. I'm also using a Geforce GTX 550Ti.

It's not ur psu, or atleast it's not due to having 650w. I have a 570 and a 650w. 650 is more then enough for a 550.
