Security vs Resistance

Uhhhhh..... no. The Ark has renewable resources, it can keep itself going the way it is, and it can definitely keep itself going if there are less people to care for.

then how come there is a struggle for water? water is necessary for all life

Water, water everywhere, but not a drop to drink. The Ark is in the middle of an enormous ocean. You can't drink salt water. That means that you have to have water filtration plants to make the water fit for human consumption. With ten times more people than the Ark can normally provide for, the filters probably can't keep up with demand, hence the rationing. Not sure what they eat on the Ark though. Algae? I've heard algae is the food of the future.

Anyway, conditions will get much better for everyone once a significant portion of the population dies in this war. The survivors can hold a big party and build swimming pools and other nice things. :foodndrink:

i didnt create the story. im pretty sure that they would be smart enough to create filters because it is in the future. im pretty sure there would be a farm or 2 on the ark to keep up with the food supply. that would actually be a decent idea for a map, itll be a farm surrounded by all the urban landscape the ark has to offer

I was just explaining it. Sorry if I came off as rude there. :cryvaultboy:

But yeah, a nature-filled area would be a neat break from all the urban combat.

its fine. i thought i was being the [censored]

i think a farm would be a big twist to the urban maps that will be dominating this game. but without too much open space but with barns and stables and stuff like that

It doesn't matter if they have water or not. Without women on The Ark, no one can reproduce. That means the Security is wrong when they say they are trying to save humanity  .

But...there are women on the Ark. It would probably be in everybody's best interest not to have kids though. You know, with over-population already being a huge problem and all.

I was thinking more along the lines of slipping birth control medicine into the water supply, making all but a chosen few sterile, then killing all the old people. And then I would punch a dolphin because I'm just that mean and vicious.

Why don't they just fish for food...they're on the ocean...

Do fish have some specific reason to come to the Ark? Remember the Ark doesn't have a coast. There's no shallow water nearby. It's sitting on an unfathomably vast expanse of almost completely empty seawater. Migratory species that might come by the Ark on their way somewhere else are going extinct, because the coastal ecosystems they're traveling to and from are gone; changing depths and temperatures will probably kill off just about everything in every coral reef. Algae survive, and many species that feed on algae will, too, but remember the Earth is undergoing a worldwide mass extinction as a result of the suddenly rising sea level. The species that are suited to survive the new environment are not likely to be ones that traverse vast expanses of ocean, because the ocean currents have probably changed, throwing off the navigation instincts that have been engrained in them through millions of years of evolution. The Ark only has whatever sustainable food supplies the Founders put there.

Rofl good one. And I'll know that when I keep seeing my teammates dying, as they try to flank, that it's possibly you.

You'll know me from the five-year-olds he mows down because I will succeed in flanking him. I shall stand atop his dying corpse will a smile stitched into my mask.

Ha. One, I'll be playing as the most agile, quick bodytype in the game, the Light Heavy. Second of all, I'm going to lick you.... with thunder.

security. I like the look of them better however resistance have some cool looking stuff as well....

I'm choosing security first since it seems more focused towards them. But I agree the resistance has some pretty sick looking outfits and armor, like the scarecrow looking bandana and "the Waste" armor. It will be interesting to see both sides viewpoints of beother and the conflict.
