Security vs. Resistance 4

Who says the Resistance has a noble goal?

I believe their goal is noble but their means of reaching that goal are questionable. =)

So very true. Equality is always a noble goal but highly unrealistic.

The same could then be said of fighting to maintain sustainable control over the general populace. Indeed, momentary peace could be achieved through force, though uprisings and insurrectionists would eventually topple the stagnant regime.

Damn commies.

I have to agree here about the Resistance J u K E, except for one part. As far as I'm concerned, the only good commies you can trust are the Russians. Ye, spetsnaz!

That is very true. I for one want to be with resistance but my "GOOD" side is saying there ways are not noble and that i should be with the security.
To me it doesnt matter because i will play as both, see both sides of the story, and then decide which i belong to. (for now it will be resistance...)

It comes down to the fact that the Security and the Founders let the refugees onto the Ark. Could have said no try somewhere else, but they didn't. They have spent the last 20 years trying to accomodate the newcomers who now are rising in rebellion.

Because if they leave, the workforce would be significantly shortened, so people on the Ark would die. And the people who leave the Ark have pretty much no where to go. they would also die. The harbors and citys are flooded. The only other life is the people who live in the mountainous regions, but they are almost certainly dead aswell with no renewable source of food. The only potential survivors are other Arks, (which we don't know if they exist) or mountainous bases and bunkers with renewable sources of food and energy/heat.

Just starting it up, as we all no #3 is one post from being locked.

I added a neutral option though, as some have yet to decide.

Resistance FTW!

I must say, I am actually suprised that there are more Secruity votes. I thought people would like the more 'rebel' approach to the game.

The forums are apparently filled with conservative republicans.

Actually no if lots of people left the Ark could supply resources for 5,000. If it was down to 5.000 no probs except maintence and the only reason to keep the Resistance people is cheap labor. Think of the Resistance as illegal immigrants with guns.

Except they're not actually illegal, and everyone on the Ark is an immigrant.

You guys are still missing the anology. They are there to do all the jobs NO ONE WANTS TO DO. Hence is why the Security wants to keep them around/ You would know that if you read the original post.

I'm actually the complete opposite of that, and i have said many times that i agree with both sides, just more with the Security. That is what is most interesting, there is no moral highground. No save the baby/Eat the baby. Its right and wrong/right and wrong. There is no particular side. Hell there isn't even conservative and liberal or republican and democrat.

They're still immigrants... It's a man made island, the founders were not natives.

Of course no side is right. That's what the devs intended. I don't support one more than the other, i just like to debate the point. More like Fascist and Communist anyway.
