So I sold my staff of Magnus to my wife Lydia a while ago coz it was glitching on my weapon rack so instead of being normal and put it in a drawer I sold it and now I want to boy it back any ideas please?

Does it mean the staff disappeared from Lydia's inventory? I noticed that a lot of quest items sit in merchant's inventory and don't disappear after sold.
