Separating character saves

Post » Sun Jul 01, 2012 8:11 am

I've been reluctant to start a new character, for the sole reason that I hate how it bunches up all the saves together and there's no distinction between different character saves. I'd have quite a few saves if it worked like Mass Effect, where each different character you create has it's own separate list of saves, but I just won't have them grouped next to each other. So I was wondering if I could use actually separate two characters' saves by storing one character on my hard drive and the other on the XBox's cloud saves thing, and if that would work, how would it know which one to draw from? Would I be prompted which device to load from and just select which one I wanted when the game started and it would load all my saves from the character stored on that device? I'm hesitant to try it because I've heard of saves getting corrupted, and I don't want to lose all that progress (everything on one character since I got the game), so perhaps if someone who cares less could give it a try and let me know? Or if anyone has any other ideas for separating characters than that one I came up with, let me know. Thanks.

When I finish a character I put their save folder somewhere else in one of my two pc hard drives I have. A simple cut and paste.

I don't really "finish" characters..... what with all there is to do. Also, that would be a great solution if I HAD it for the PC- I mentioned I had it for my XBox a couple times, not PC

Yup. I just did that myself. Copied the contents of the save folder to a new "retirement home" folder, and erased the old ones. Nice clean empty save folder now.

I wish they did it mass effect style where you click a ''carrer'' and there would be all the saves for that character. I would LOVE that.

now all these people say they can't copy things over on consoles but you can. get a usb and copy it to that then delete it off PS3/Xbox then you can play with one char at a time, only issue is it takes less then 5 seconds to start game if you wanna play other char. basiclly if your patient you can do it. :P
