Serana: Disciple of Jurgen Windcaller

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 9:29 pm

Just went up to High Hrothgar to deliver the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller. After Serana and I got there, she took up the same kneeling position that the Greybeards always do. I had no idea whe was all into the non-violence stuff. I guess it goes along with her sympathy for dead frost trolls. Quite the bleeding heart!

I've gone to the temple of Dibella in Markarth and she took up the praising stance in front of the statue of Dibella...I think that would go against her religion...

I found it weird seeing her bow down to Arngeir an his mates, wonder if theres a deeper backstory to this? - would be really interesting.

No backstory at all, of course. These are just NPC "hotspots" that tell NPCs what to do when they occupy that spot, the same way your spouse decides whether to cook something, or use the alchemy lab, or sit in a chair. There are obviously hotspots that are not visible to the player but are visible to NPCs.

By the Nine/Eight/Dread Father/Daedric Princes, she really gets around when it comes to religion.

this^ pretty much. Its one of the thing's that makes her a unique follower. she does the actions of any other NPC. Being locked up for thousands of years will do that to a girl lol. She wants to experience everything

She interacts with the environment. I just figure she's meditating. She's very spiritual and calm, I've noticed.

Only difference I noticed is on dawnguard side she doesn't reanimate dead corpses anywhere near as much as she does for vamp. On vamp she has brought someone back when there were no enemies to fight and it was a random dead body.

You never know what she'll conjure next, makes fighting with her interesting. She's sending in Master Vamipires to help in the fight, and next thing you know their is a Skeever fighting with you. Quite funny, when you least expect it. :)

I haven't looked, but I guess she has a Simultaneous set of a Follow and a Sandbox Procedure or something like that, which means that if she is not actively following you she will make use of Idle Markers.
