Serious Crashing Issues, And Unplayability

CoC just doesn't want to work on my machine, with any patch or modification that I can make. I've even tried the trick to match its screen resolution and refresh rate, and I get absolutely nowhere. Crashes every single time.My system specs:CPU: 2 processors running - AMD Athlon? 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200Speed: 2.21 GHz Performance Rated at 6.30 GHzRAM: 2.0 GIGsOS: Windows XP? (Build Service Pack 32600)Video card specs: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 (GeForce 6150SE nForce 430)Video RAM: 512 MB3D Acceleration: YesHW Transform & Lighting: YesVertex Shader Ver 3.0Pixel Shader Ver 3.0DirectX: 6.14.11.7813I mean, is my computer TOO upgraded to run an older game or something? I really think this was a poorly made/rushed export to PC and it really shows. I've never experienced such a broken installation. In fact, I don't know if anyone can even help with this thing and it might just be best I uninstall CoC altogether. :-(How did you guys get this game to work without pulling your hair out?

few problems that might be the problem1. your video card might not be able to handle the game, nvidia geforce 6150 is kinda old, (go to ebay, you can find good deals on video card(just got an xfx 8600 gt for $39.00 US.)). nvm i see that it also have an nforce 430.2.directx version might be outdated, the more recent games are now on directx 10 (but i dont think thats the problem).3. u might have to update your cpu drivers. here is a thread that might helphttp://callofcthulhu.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3716
