Serious Error with updated CK

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 8:32 am

OK so yesterday I was busying away on my mod, happy in the knowledge that having fully sorted out my nav-mesh and saved it as an .esm I could go ahead with the modding.

However, after the CK update last evening I can't open ANY external cells, the CK just insta frezzes and CTD's.

I've no idea what to do from here, becuase after I saved the original file as an .esm, all the subsequent .esp work needs the .esm as it's master file.

Any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated :)

Not tried it yet but getting very near to having it up to here with the CK and Bethesda. If they had spent more time testing and getting it right than playing girlfriend to Steam we wouldnt be having regular updates. Let me take a look because I have the same set up.

Master file works but its basically just a landmass. CK needed tweaking back to be able to use version control. I will try doing an esp and running it from the master now to see if its an esp custom master problem.

Did you have any navmesh data in your esm?

yes mate, the Master was made after I'd finalised all the exterior nav-mesh.

what's now worse is I just converted the master back to a plug-in and it still won't load external cells.

EDIT - just tried to open a several week old backup .esp and I still can't open an external cell, be it a vanilla or modded :(

just brilliant ain't it lol

Can you open it in tesvsnip and remove the navmeshing?

That's what I'd do, use TESVSnip to chop out all the navmeshes and redo those with a straight .esp file first.
