Ancient dragons are the highest and thos eappear at level 50,

Unless you have deadly dragons mod installed.

Which one are u talking about? u don't have to be lvl 78 to kill any dragon, that can be done en very low lvl aswel... i don't know where u got this from =)

Yeah i didnt even think about Dawnguard, i play on pc so i don't have it yet.. but no the game won't force you to be lvl 78 to kill a dragon unless its quest related ofc, which i don't know.

Ok, straight from UESPwiki:

Second only to Alduin in their sheer power, these dragons have black and gold scales, as well as unusally long claws on their wings. Like the Revered Dragons, they can use Drain Vitality as well as the traditional fire or frost breath. They begin to appear in regular leveled lists for dragon spawns when you reach level 78. ^{[verification needed]}

I have Dawnguard and I am level 60 and the highest dragon I've seen is the Revered Dragon. Still looking for the Legendary Dragon. I am not sure if I will be able to make it to level 78.

I want to get the achievement that dawnguard added I looked online and people who fought it where at an extremely high level.but I'm not sure if that is a legitimate answer maybe someone knows another way because geting to level 78 is a huge time consumer.

If this is about Dragons in Dawnguard, then it would be better to discuss it in the Dawnguard Forum.

Just for general purposes. Your actual level doesn't affect how much damage you deal. Granted you can have higher health but chances are you are at the AR cap anyway. The point is...if you are at 100, and perked out for your combat skill, at level 45, you will do the same damage at level 81.
