No server available?

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 12:16 am

Ok, I am new to TES 5. I got it for Christmas, and have limited playtime. Currently, I am L23 and had some free time this afternoon and tried to log on and got an error message that said the game was unavailable, to try back later. Why in the world is this game unavailable? I have all of the latest updates, and should be able to play when I have free time. I see no messages in the forums regarding server downtime. Is there a place to look and check when I can play the game on MY pc?. Just a little frustrated right now. Can someone advise me of any solution? Thanks......l

Was it an steam issue? I also had problems yesterday as my internet was down and I was unable to start the game, normally it starts automatically in offline mode.

tried changing servers through steam?

Go to settings > Download+Cloud > change the download region to the closest (if not default) or 2nd closet then try.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, it is a Steam issue. Obviously, I have an internet connection but, am unable to start the game.

I had that......turned out of my files had gotten corrupted.

I ran the 'verify integrity of game cache' and it re-downloaded the damaged file.

I do not see an option to verify integrity for Skyrim. I got a message to verify my email account and I clicked yes to acknowledge,, then received an email confirming my account. Can you tell me where to look for the verify integrity option is? Thanks again
