Before it's noticed that I'm new to the forums, and the predictable 'noob who doesn't read the compendium!' comments come up, I have a question:

It has been said that dedicated PC servers will be available, but it didn't say if this was going to be purely controlled by Brink, of it was going to be given off to third party hosts and available for monthly rent etc. Am I just missing this info, or has it not been said because it's still unsure?

I only ask because being an Australian, great games like Brink tend to be disappointing if local servers are provided.

Well tbh, it will most likely allow for 3rd party servers as BRINK only servers would require a lot of maintenance and also they would be required to set-up server holding areas in each country. As it is available on steam it is most likely true that there will be dedicated servers held by Steam. This means comapnies such as GameArena (Telstra), Internode, 3FL etc. will be able to host dedicated servers as well

On that note it will be positive that people could rent servers or create their own servers, allowing for mods and and other gamer made materials or set-ups
