Turn the Beacon off, then on again.

Failing that, disconnect the wires, wait 30 seconds, then reconnect the wires and turn it on after checking all connections.

It can take more then a day to grow.. However Ephidel also has good advice there. I have had some stuff seemingly just stop working and I have to select it in town build mode and then place it back down to get the stuff to turn back on.. Even with enough power and lines all connected. Just a minor glitch where picking it up - put it right back down and presto its online again.
