Several gliches making it too easy

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 8:39 am

First of all, I love skyrim. Still do, but not so much...

Ok, so I′ve been played skyrim for 40+ hours now, and just as it started to become addictive I found a glitch/bug (or something else?) that made it unplayable for me. Sure you guys already know that you can make enchantment and smithing potions to stack the %, in whatever skill you want, to make better gear etc. I used this method because I think you should be able 'exploit' all the games possibilities to beat the game. I also think these possibilities should not make you become invincible of some sort. If that happens its just not fun anymore.

See, I don′t wanna be ABLE to do something but (because it makes it too easy) choose not to do it. "Glitches" like that shouldn′t be in the game in the first place, if you ask me.

So, then, when I started to feel like it had become a bit too easy (still very playable!), I found another "glitch" - Restoration potions makes your already enchanted gear even more powerful, boosting the % to whatever number you want (but I don′t know why?). So, when i use one restoration potion I get like +56% more alchemy om my helmet, necklace etc. And then, just to try it out, I made another restoration potion (under the influence of the first) and kept doint it.. then i made an enchantment potion (being at +256.000%) and enchanted a new set of new gear... I ended up with a warhammer dealing 300.000+ dmg.. I could′ve gone further but the game crashed when the numers got too high.

Why is this possible!? I really hate to complain (this game is awesome in almost every way possible!),
but this glitch ruines it for me. I don′t want to "go back" and choose not use whatever means I can to beat the game and still knowing this glitch is there. The game-experience just doesn′t feel the same after this.. =(

Has anyone else had this problem? I mean knowing that you can bevome invincible, but choosen not to, and still think it is fun to play?

That, and only the restoration potion glitch is a glitch.
For the rest, things are working as intended.

I understand some exploits being annoying, but you HAVE TO GO OUT OF YOUR WAY to use this one. You have to use the potion then uneqiop/reequip your gear to get the neaw effects. You can also achieve 100% shout reduction using this with amulet of Talos.

I don't have great self control myself, but this is very easily ignored.

Yes, certain things in this game can make it unfun. I have never dabbled in the deeds needed to become immortal (in Skyrim at least), and I'm still having fun with it.

Since your new here, I'll be kind. I assure you everyone already knows about this. My suggestion is DON'T EXPLOIT THE GAME. I'll also tell you that there are many people on here complaining about this, so much so that it's trollish. If you want to resist future temptations to exploit smithing/enchanting, drop your smithed and enchanted gear into a random chest in some random dungeon and walk away.

Isn't this the same logic people use when they pig out on heaploads of cheeseburgers and then sue McDonald's because they're getting heart attacks at the age of thirty? There are many things you can do. You can inhale glue all day long or jam toothpicks under your nails whenever a plane passes by, but it doesn't mean you should do so. The same reasoning applies to Skyrim. Sure, you can console-command yourself into a Divine or, yeah, abuse crafting until it begs for mercy, but if you feel like it'll compromise your experience then why would you? Self-control, man.

only difference is cheeseburgers don't make you fat, nor does mcdonalds unless you go out of your way to eat absurd amounts of carbs.

You use this method because you think you should be able to exploit the game.
You want to use exploits, but you don't want the exploits to be too exploitative.
You don't want to be able to do something but choose not to do it.

No, I haven't had any problems like this.
And no offense, but I seriously doubt that you stumbled and accidentally rediscovered the Resto-Loop, unintentionally breaking your own game.

... what the H? you have to choose to use an exploit and this game is supposed to be exploitable. beth games are a toy (as all games should be, btu some seem to act like movies), you can choose to break them if you want and that is the way it should be
