The boss's kids have my old 3850 512MB in their rig and it was fine for Skyrim before but at some point it started to display this strange shadowing problem. I don't see this on their notebook which has a 4670.

I've tried Catalyst 11.11, 12.2 and 12.4. Varying detail levels from low to ultra does nothing. I did a Steam file integrity check. I tried wiping out the configuration files and letting the game make new ones. Nada.

I'm thinking that one of the game patches caused it?
