For the people that have this problem opening the gates, the problem it's in the game languaje. Change your game languaje to English and it will work. I had the game in spanish and i had that problem, so i found in a forum a guy that had this problem too and had the game in spanish. He thought that maybe the problem was in the game languaje so I tried to change the languaje to english and everything worked just fine

Well that's fine and dandy, but I cannot change the language to english in my french/german (english is not even on the disk) PS3 Copy.

A fix would be nice Bethesda, all non-english players can't get into Shalidor's Maze and are basically locked out of this game content.

Also, the trophy Master Criminal is not working in non-english versions.

Same here, xbox 360 version. No way to enter the maze. I hope nothing important for the game is inside the maze.

Yeah guys, you should really fix this as soon as possible... I tried to change the language on my xbox 360 and it doesn' t work for me (I can't change game language) ... staves or spells still do nothing to sigils.

maybe i'll change the language to spanish and that'll fix the glitches that go on in the english version.

i figured it out. use the staff of mage light on the sigil. that opens the gate.

each staff opens a different part of the maze

But also the related spell will do if you have it on your magic list. I opened casting the spells.

im sure the language affecting gates issue is one of the 1.4 bugs being fixed.

This post makes me glad that I decided to order the English version from a friend back in Finland instead of buying the German version from here (I'm on exchange in Austria). Also I was worried about cencorship, because the damn German officials tend to do that (for example no "bloody mess"-perk in the German version of FO3)

when the patch on xbox 360 is going to be released ?
