Jordis Sword-Maiden seems to prefer her old steel armour. I gave her a complete set of legendary ebony including bow and sword.

I get back to Proudspire and she's sitting about wearing her steel. It appears I need to remove the steel stuff from her inventory only it doesn't show when we are "trading" items.

I think I need to take back everything I gave her, then purge her of those default things.

Do you here folks know a console command to make the steel garbage disappear?

I thought maybe 'removeall' but if the stuff isn't in inventory .... ?

Housecarls/most every other follower immediately equips the upgraded armor you gave them once you leave wherever you picked them up from or use a door. They just wear their default stuff when they're not following you.

I said, "come with me". She remained in steel until we passed out the door. Outside, she was switched to ebony. w00t! Thanks.

But I would still like the steel junk removed so she can carry more loot.

Yeah, I agree with you on that part. And just because I'm a vain little person all like "I MADE YOU DAEDRIC ARMOR VILKAS WHY WON'T YOU WEAR IT WHY DO YOU HATE ME SO MUCH."

2 ways to sort it, there is the NPC editor or there is also a mod that lets you decide what followers wear and they keep the gear you give them on. Both found on NEXUS and I think the follower one is pretty recent.
