Should I buy Brink ?

I was very exited for Brink to come out but it didn't do so well on reviews and i'm wondering if it's really worth buying ? And if so, should I wait for the price to drop ?

The Price dropped already. I believe you can pick up Brink for around $20 or $30 bucks. F-R-E-E DLC comes out this Wednesday, Aug 3rd and will be available FREE for two weeks. The DLC includes 2 maps, 5 new abilities, and 2 new outfits. Many of the issues like Lag that plagued the game during launch have been fixed. Brink is STILL a team-based, Objective FPS though. That has not changed. So if you are a lonewolf style player or like camping in COD, you may not like Brink. Also, Brink has a steep learning curve and you need to play for a while to unlock weapon attachments, body types, and abilities. So, out of the box, you have very little abilities and options. Once you level up at least 1 character to level 20 and unlock weapon attachments, the game really starts to shine. Many, many many people do not ever get to level 7 in order to unlock the Light Body Type. So, realize what you are getting yourself into. Not like trendy instant gratification FPS games. Good luck! :)

Lies. The lag has not been fixed. Mostly Empty lobbies. The reason a lot of people dont get past level 7 is because they run back for a refund. Otherwise you can easily get up to level 20 within a few hours. Finally, the massive price drop shouldn't be seen as an incentive but as a warning.

@dillinger - way to put the OP down ...

I say get it. BRINK is massively fun and is unique compared to shooters like Halo and CoD (though it has many elements from each). And most places now are selling it 30-40$ USD.

Plus, the DLC is just right around the corner. Coming out August 3rd and it's FREE for the 1st Two Weeks. (08/03/2011-08/17?/2011)

Wasn't what my expectations met up with... but still a great game nonetheless.

What cracks me up is...when you come to a forum for a game, its weird to be told not to get it. Right? I mean. If you went to a car show for antique cars, would you show up and ask the folk there if it's worth buying and fixing up antique cars?
