No x) It would be weird being a deadra walking around in cities and doing quests.
But it sure would be cool

If you want to be ostracized and attacked by every NPC, there are already ways to do that in the game.

It's funny until a mage banishes you. Game over.

The closest you can get, is make a High Elf look as dark as possible. I made a Dremora Lord that way.

What would be the fun of them then?
It's like the Dwemer, no fun if there are no mystery.

If you want to try, use a mod and run about in Dremora armour. (Is it called that or Daedric in this game?)

There are other ways, but not by being a daedra. The reactions to summoned ones aren't that extreme tbh.

Resist Banishment spell sorts that one out.

No. Daedra isn't a "race". Nor does it fit.

That is because they are under your control......

Yes.
I would like to see a Daedra/Dremora group split of from the rest and try to integrate into society with the others.
Next game would take place about a hundred or so years after Skyrim though and lots of things has happened since then.
But they are after all that more accepted into society.

If anyone says 'it's an option' in this thread I will scream.

It is an option - an option that will ruin all the other options by making the whole game redundant. A bit like playing as 'weretoilet' or 'drow,' it would just ruin what the TES world is. Best left to the modders.

Indeed. It would feel totally pointless, against all forms of lore and totally redundant.

Redundant? And what option? How does that effect anything?

EDIT :
PS..It's an option.

Sorry, it was too tempting.

They are basically Dunmer with horns. Take a Dunmer, give it red face paint, and roleplay.

It's a bit like playing as a Russian in Call of Duty.

Because it's completely against the lore. And if you can't trust the lore from the game anymore, then the devs can invent whatever the heck they want without repercussions, and nuke the whole game series. The lore creates certain limits, in order to keep the whole thing under control.

Besides, daedra are a lot more powerful than the Nirn dwellers, and mostly evil. It just wouldn't make any sense.

I have no idea what you can or can't do in those dooty games. TES lets you do or be anything.

well?.......

Well I am sure that it will be modded in if it hasnt already, though if you are on console I dont think that will help you much.

As for Dremora being made a playable race in the vanilla game I dont see it happening as I am not sure that many people in the world as it is would invite a Daedra into their cities and villiages with open arms, but then again considering how much Skyrim already whitewashes over your racial choice (high elf becoming Ulfric's right hand man) why the hell not.

How is it going against lore, when they are a large part of it?

EDIT : As far as being more powerful...Your character becomes a lot more powerful than that.

Yes, within reason. It's not against the rules that mortal man and mer might rise to power and fame and glory through whatever means, but for a Daedra to walk on Nirn without repercussion? It's just a bit silly really. It would be like trying to play as a dragon, too ridiculous to take seriously.
