Greetings, I've read many of H.P. Lovecraft's stories, from his dream cycle stories to his Cthulhu Mythos and I was wondering whether I should buy this game. I am a huge Lovecraft fan as well as a lore master. Is this game any good? More importantly, does it do justice to Lovecraft?

Yeah. Get the game. On XBOX, if you can, since it's less buggy. I'm a huge Lovecraft fan, myself, and I felt it did a pretty good job getting the Cthulhu mythos across in a game. It's not perfect, but you can tell they put a lot of effort into trying to maintain the mood and spirit of his work and make a game that was fun to play at the same time. It's a real shame they won't be doing others.

It would have been a great game, except for the bug that makes it impossible to finish, three quarters of the way through. I'm not going to waste my time blind fighting or downloading someone else's saved game. Don't waste your money on the PC version, unless you don't mind having to quit before you're through.

And yes, it totally does justice to H.P. Very disappointing that it's unplayable.
