We should be grateful.

I'm not trying to be a troll and but I've just picked up fallout new Vegas and that game is a mess. At least with skyrim, I can count the crash numbers on two hands. I can't get through half an hour on New Vegas. Skyrim may not be perfect but it's playable. Fixing the main quests shouldn't be to hard. No one can fix New Vegas and with Skyrim out I have to wonder if fixing New Vegas is even a priority or possible. I enjoyed Skyrim, and since I play on pc, I can use the cosole to bypass certain things. I'm grateful Skyrim is not such a hot mess as New Vegas!!

I never had a single crash playing New Vegas, I've lost count with Skyrim. Although credit to Bethesda for releasing the 4gb patch on PC as this solved all of my crashing issues.

Also, New Vegas was not made by Bethesda.

NV was done by Obsidian, not Bethesda.

But you're right. It was a nearly unplayable mess. Housing glitches are the only thing frustrating me with Skyrim right now.

I haven't had a crash problem as others have.

but I do not tell them to quit griping

and I do not chim in that I am not having a problem in a thread made by a person who IS.

no I don't agree, when someone pays 60 or 120 for a game that is NOT delievering on release day without the crashes, that they should be "grateful" that it isnt worse. I find that utterly absurd.

Sorry for you experience, but i had absolutely no problems with New Vegas (and enjoyed a lot more as a game too).
Anyway let's not delve into that, the thing is that i'm grateful for Bethesda making such a game but this does not mean we should just shut up and not say anything.
What some people do not understand is that we *buy* the game and some folks who may have gotten this game with their parent's money feel that it was for free and see any complain as absurd and ridiculous.

I just got done trying New Vegas I was extremely frustrated. Yes, I forgot it was Obsidion who put out New Vegas. But for myself, I paid full price for Skyrim and for the most part it has worked great for me. Perhaps should have entitled this thread "I'm grateful" simply because I am. I enjoyed Skyrim. The truth is quality control on some of these games released stink. Even Skyrim suffered bug breaking quests, including the main quest. I don't find this exceptable. I know I'm not the only one to have issues with New Vegas just as I know ps3 players are having issues with Skyrim. I paid $10 for New Vegas but I want to play it and I want to love it. I don't think that's to much to ask.

There won't be any further patches/updates for New Vegas. It's done.

EDIT: I disagree with the idea put forward in the title of this thread, by the way. Skyrim is a great game, but still needs a considerable amount of fixing. When/if they patch it to my satisfaction, then I'll be grateful. I'm not grateful for Skyrim simply because buggier games exist.

I also just want to clarify that I certainly didn't mean people should stop complaining or airing their grievances. I've read many people's comments an some made me think. I think it up to the players to give feedback or discuss complaints about a game. I think most people have valid points. Just saying.
