As of earlier last month, I dropped playing Skyrim for Mass Effect 3. It was quite satisfying for me, despite the ending. Now I have grown weary of continuously playing it, that I started to play other games. CoD? Lol no, I want to break my controller everytime I play it. FFVII? At small intervals yes, but gets boring if played for any longer. Dead Island? I stopped playing this for a reason the day Skyrim came out.

Now Skyrim is sitting there gathering dust between Devil May Cry 4 and Final Fantasy XIII on my 360 game shelf. Does anyone think I should give it another go to explore the vastness of the land of the Nords once again despite between my buddie's and my gamertag, I have done everything there is to do till whatever DLC comes out?

I have to admit that I find Skyrim much more fun with mods. I probably couldn't play vanilla for very long. In fact, I would never even bother buying it for console. If they do a TES game that isn't on PC, count me out.

They get stale fast.

(I thought FFXIII was terrible, you? I couldn't get out of the tutorial dungeon I was so unimpressed.)

I dont think it's worth to start any new characters right now.But to jump in for half an hour or so..kill some bandit and enjoy the new killcams,Why not.But it's probably better to wait for DLC.At least thats what i will do.

Their last great huzzah was X, I think. I forced myself to play XII because it was Final Fantasy ("It must be good" I told myself). XIII was just ... awful.

Oh how I wish they could get back to the 7, 8, 9 days.

I play on PC, only have 2 audio mods installed (the sounds of dungeon and nature mods), and I still have loads of fun in the game, even though I have seen everything there is to see at least twice over. My fun stems from making interesting, dynamic, challenging builds that make combat a blast.

Yeah,iam in the same boat.XIII was maybe one of the worst FF games i've ever played.I lost all my hopes for a another good installment of the series.

Most definitely! I'm hundreds of hours in on the PS3 and still having a blast

Same. Ever since i quitted skyrim and played other rpgs: baldurs gate, DA:O, DA2, ME3(screw the ending the game is alright), skyrim seemed garbage as compared to them. Maybe because i was influenced too much by these other games. Now whenever i want to continue my skyrim experience, i couldnt do so. I guess once you hit the 1000 hour mark on skyrim, everything seemed boring.
Maybe gonna revisit morrowind and see what i can get out of it.

what i am trying to say is, the moment u look at skyrim, if your brain takes a while to decide, or you are in a dilemma whether you should pickup skyrim again, the answer is No. Because you already have that thought of 'Wanting to play skyrim but at the same time you dont want to'. You end up quitting in about 2h again because you didnt have the excitement to play skyrim as compared to when you first picked up. Its like movies or books or other games. 1st time= wow, 2nd time= meh, 3rd time=screw it

It was...but the series went down the river after the first game anyway.Now it's just shooter action blockbuster movie and bad one on top.They dumb down almost every RPG aspect of the first game.With every new chapter it got worse.

And it wasn't that the ending was bad, per se. It just didn't deliver what was promised. They promised that player actions in the game would create multiple endings.

That didn't happen, no matter what you did, the ending was the same, predictable thing.

Companies lie for profit...nothing new.Still sad that we gamers that we have invested so many hours into the first two games and they ruin the whole series with it.But after the second my hopes were pretty low anyway.And after the Dragon Age 2 debacle..oh well.There are other good games.

After what they did with the Protheans, I seen this comming. ME1 was awesome, ME2 was terrible and I haven't even bothered buying ME3.

I strongly encourage you to proudly play Skyrim again!

was in the same boat a month or so ago. Just wait, as someone plinted out of u have to debate if u pick it up when u really dont want to, then ita more of a chore than what its supposed to be. I started playing morrowimd for the first time and loving it. Then ill go do fo3 then fonv. Ill come back to skyrim when the dlcs come out, bit after a bit. They betted be beedyike ahimmering isles and not quick like honest hearts. If they are, ill either grab them after ive done my marathon or get the goty if ots out by then.

Moral of the story, its to soon for ya. Either dust off a classic or visit a past tes lr fo game u havemt tried or hl go with a brand new game. Youll get the deaire to play again or you wont, and thats lk because the games supposed to be fun and if its a chore to you then dont do it. Do somethimg else. Now im off to go venture morrowind lol.

I enjoyed FF13. Not as much as 12, admittedly. But yeah, decent game. (Sure, there could have been a few improvements, but it takes alot more than that for me to throw around "lousy" about a game. )

...it was certainly better than 13-2. They over-did it with "fixing" things. It's a bit too free-roam/open-ended. Like 10-2, it feels more like a bunch of sidequests in search of a plot. Only having 2 (somewhat boring) main characters doesn't help. And the changes to the crystarium. And then ending. And the "hey, let's jump on this DLC bandwagon!"

(and yes - I've played 6 through 13-2. Basically enjoyed them all.)
