Shoulders

In Fallout New Vegas will shoulders still be really broad? I really dislike when my characters head is extremely disproportionate to his/her body.

I never noticed this as an issue, but the character models are pretty much the same in that respect.

Small Frame and Bruiser may change your characters size, but it hasn't been confirmed yet.

I think it happens mostly when you have a female character.

Who cares about body look, its the core gameplay that matters

I did notice that, as well. It just doesn't look natural, because they look like they always have perfect posture. if they slouched (especially if the amount they slouched was proportional to the amount of time since they last slept in a bed) then it wouldn't be a problem, I don't think.

Clearly people care....otherwise we would all be walking around with stick avatars. Character creation and customisation has been an important part of games for a while now so try and keep up. What is more important is always relative to what you are already content with.

You are right but a female stick figure model couldn't use a Fatman in combat. Could the shoulders change maybe but I'm not sure

True, but it is a combination of things that make the game what it is, and I didn't notice it at the time, but looking on it today, of course there are some issues in it, I think we get spoiled by so many other games since then, it is obvious we can point out some flaws, and I hope that they will fix many and most of them.

The gore I'd say, is mine.

But hey, if you have a problem with the fallout 3 characters, and their disproportionate bodies, replay fallout 3, then zoom yourself into first person, and start removing them from the game in one form or another. Do the same in Fallout New Vegas, if you see their bodies to be offensive.

But if they were slouched, hunched, or show any manner of body movement, that would indeed add more reality to the character models, but I hardly noticed

Have you watched any of the gameplay vids out there? Seems like that could answer your question.

Some things matter to certain people for example my character's hand in FO3 always looked weirdly Yellow to me and i just couldn't shake it for the rest of the game. That sort of thing is known as immerison breaking after gunning down thirteen Feral ghouls i feel i really am shooting at hideous mutants. But then if i notice that my character's head is the size of jupiter or that his hands are glowing yellow it brings me OUT of that Immerisive state so yes it DOES matter.

The size of jupiter?? What bothered me in fallout 3 is that everyone's head seem to be way to small. You must have a really small head for it to bother you. (and i seem to have a really big one) Hope they improved more, because i can't really tell by looking at the videos.

Yeah, I hate people who have stick figures in their avatar. :brokencomputer:

I never noticed anything odd. I guess it's because I seldom used third person, and when I did it was usually to get a broader view of the surrounding area, rather than for cosmetic/aesthetic purposes. Also, you say character customization, but what you are actually talking about is character modeling, and they're quite different.
