Shouldn't the Dragonborn become Emperor

Post » Wed Jul 11, 2012 1:43 pm

By lore eversince Tiber Septim the emporer has been a dragonborn. Ending with Martin.
As the dragonborn I would like to see Quest to become Emporer available.

Just because you're dragonborn doesn't make you the emporer.

No, the Dragonborn should become a God and join the Divines, but then be denied by Thalmor. So you lose in the end.

I thought it had been proven in a pervious post on this same topic, that the Septim Emperors were not Dragonborn. They were normal humans.

This would be so cool. I would welcome a quest that involved possibly ascending to the Imperial throne would be SICK.

If my character would be the emperor I would run to the throat of the world, carry the senior with wings into imperial city, place him at the throne and say: ''Rule the world as you see fit from now on, GO!''.

That guy would make an amazing emperor! Until he got too angry... Yeah. That would be when anger management classes would be invented.

I thought it had been proven in a pervious post on this same topic, that the Septim Emperors were not Dragonborn. They were normal humans.

The Septim Dynasty were in fact Dragonborn. Only those of the Dragonblood can wear the Amulet of Kings and can light the Dragonfires in the Temple of the one.

The reason the Champion of Cyrodiil can't wear the Amulet of Kings is because he doesn't have the Dragonblood in his veins like the Dragonborn do.

also, the Akaviri Dragonguard IE: The Blades confirmed the Septims as Dragonborn....

Not just anyone could smash the Amulet of Kings and become an Avatar for Akatosh...no one must have the Blood of Akatosh running through their veins...they must be Dragonborn....Martin Septim proved he was Dragonborn when he became Akatosh's Avatar to allow Akatosh to manifest himself in Tameriel to do battle with Mehrunes Dagon and cast him back into Oblivion.

Martin Septim poessed the same ability to devour Dragon souls and learn shouts that The Dovahkiin in skyrim has....the difference being there were no dragons in Tameriel at the time of Martin Septim, and well Martin never got the chance to see the Greybeards......if he did he would have been able to use the Th'um just like any other Dragonborn.

The fact that Martin could wear the Amulet of Kings(just like all the Septims before him) proves beyond any doubt that the septims...only a Dragonborn can wear the Amulet of Kings.....So yes the Septims were indeed Dragonborn.......

Well, that very well maybe, but I have heard otherwise. I personally think the whole idea is terrible.

I will say though, The Dragonborn aka the Dovahkiin does have a legitimate claim to the Imperiel Throne....him sharing the Dragonblood makes him a direct heir to Martin Septim (via the Dragonblood) which would make the Dovahkiin the rightful heir to the throne.

why not make a quest where the dovahkiin has to reforge the Amulet of Kings and share his blood with Akatosh (restore the covenant) and deny the Thalmor, like the Ayleids, their Daedra hordes and allow the dovahkiin to prove once and for all to everyone that he is the rightful ruler by being the only one who cna wear the Amulet.

Enclave I agree! the idea is terrible.

The only way i would go for it is if the Amulet of kings had to be restored and it involved a lengthy quest to do so....because the Dragonborn should only become emperor if he has a legitmate claim....and the only way i see the Dragonborn having a Legtimate claim is if he can restore and wear the Amulet of Kings.

If it was deemed I had such a right, I would use it to name the first hick I met on the road into Cyrodiil as the new emperor.

Tiber Septim was a Dovahkiin. He used his divine gift to help his conquest of Tamriel as well as cement his line as the Emperors by using his Dragon Soul as a divine mandate by Akatosh.

The same case could be made for our Dovahkiin, the hero who defeated the World-Ender.

I bet it would be that annoying farmer with the cow.

...yes, I have a score to settle with him. He got my horse killed, with the help of a mudcrab and a giant.

While Tiber Septim was Dragonborn, the throne wasn't simply handed to him because of that. Tiber Septim, like Titus Mede, became Emperor through conquest of Cyrodiil. The Dragonborn would have to do the same, and it's really unlikely that they'd put that in a DLC.

Technically if the amulet of kings was still around you could be emperor, because the dragonfires were lit when someone with dragon blood was wearing the amulet, so if you lied to the elder council and said you were a long lost septim, you could be emperor. They also couldn't disprove it because the fires would still be lit. I would like to see a DLC though when you become High King. It could be that Ulfric, or Elisif could die during a thalmor invasion, and you are picked to lead skyrim.

Dragonborn for Emperor? It's got me thinking - maybe I'm the Dragonborn, and I just don't know it yet.
