Show your scars.

What I mean by show your scars is, share your most epic battle since you started playing the game and what do you do differently since said battle, I'll go first.Myself and Kharjo where out on a dragon hunt and decided to go up to Shearpoint to make quick work of the foul worm,we have been killing dragons for around 15hr of game play so our confidence was high and we thought tactic was flawless. As we reached the top of the mountian Kharjo went on ahead inorder to cause a distraction so I could take the flank and everything was going to plan, I was within feet of the foul worm and had I made a power swing I would have mortally wounded the beast but instead the beast turned and faced me. I saw it coming, my spidy sense was tingling, the dragon opened it's mouth for an instant kill but I guess my thumbs were on crack cause I manage to get into my menu just as the beast's mouth opened. I downed a super fortify health potion and a super restore health potion that I had made and backed out of the menu, to find myself caught in an instant kill, the dragon bit down shook me like a ragdoll and threw me across the top of the mountian.
I ended up landing in a pile of rocks and continued the death animation but instead of dieing Tharkun just shook it off and stood back up and with 60% of my health gone(but it was still riseing from the potions) just as Kharjo finished off the wrom. But then the dragon priest decided he was getting in on the action and woke up behind Kharjo so naturally I unsheath my sword and made a run for the dragon priest to make quick work of him, but instead he plowed me in the chest with a lightning bolt from his staff and sent me back to the same spot the dragon had and once again I did the whole ragdoll death animation. But by the grace of the 8 I stood back up shook it off and was left with 1/4 of my health and managed to put two arrows into the priests chest just as Kharjo hacked at him, VICTORY IS MINE!!!!!!!!
And from that point on I have been RPing that Tharkun(my Khajiit) was mortally disfigured, lost most of his muzzle and was severely burned, and now has to cover his face inorder hide the high cost of his arrogance. I have never been able to survive a instant death animation till this point and I dare not try and duplicate the battle and I also have no idea how I manage to get into the menu while the dragon's kill cam was triggered but what I do know is that this glorious battle will forever be scored into my memory as the BEST fight I've ever had the glory of being in.The only question that lingers is weather or not anyone else has had a similar situation or did I just get lucky and glitched the game just a little bit in my favor???

OP, I love how you make the statement that after killing dragons for 15 hours (about one day's worth of daylight) your confidence was high. I don't know why, but that struck me as funny. :)

I almost had a heart-attack last night! I was walking from Winterhold to Windhelm (no carriage and I prefer not to fast travel) as I was making the first turn around the mountain, a snowy saber cat jumped out from behind the road post and resumed to mistake me for a bowl of Friskies. While I was kiting the beast, I didn't notice that I had accidentally attracted the attention of a nearby ice wraith. Just as I was about to land the killing blow on the saber, I was hit by the ice move that the wraiths use. It took my health down to just a sliver (plus the noise scared the hell out of me) and I was now staring down this massive cat that was charging me.

I did what any sensible person would do; I ran headlong into the saber in the hopes that my dagger would be enough to put the beast down. Thankfully it was, and I gained some ground to be better able to deal with the wraith.

Not very interesting, but my heart did skip a beat or three. :P

That would have made me jump.Just saber cats alone are scary!! Myself and Kharjo go on routine dragon hunts where we will either go to them or just walk the map untill one shows up, kinda like a fishen trip.

Thanks,

On topic I started a new character (which by the way can be followed here http://theertiuscololliusstory.blogspot.com/ ) and I'm on my way to Falkreath, just where the road turns of (straight on takes you to Helgen) there was a group of Bandits, about 5 of them. I'm on a hard difficulty and I'm RP-ing decided to sneak past. But the saw me and I didn't notice them following me. Next I start speaking to Vigilants of Stendarr, then bump into more Bandits of about 4 further down the road. Lets just say it was a royal rumble of fights. Then two wolves joined in and two Skeletons and a poacher. Anyway it was an epic fight and I wasn't around to see who won.

See I wouldn't be able to control myself, I would have to run head first into it or pick em all off from a distance while Kharjo runs in. I cannot help but get into fights, like now after 150hr on Tharkun I have started to run into unnamed NPCs who will call you a milk drinker and tell you to go home to your mother and you are given two options: Tell em to watch their mouth and a fight is started or say sorry and be on my way. I ALWAYS go for the option of tellen them to watch their mouth, I guess I'm just a svcker for punishment. :drag:

I always go for the tactical approach. I like to get the high ground and scout the area, if possible. Then let my bow and Illusion magic do the rest.

My most epic battle was against a draugr deathlord I found on a mountain(dont remember where), anyway I saw him hop out of his box and though : just another draugr and charged at him blindly, chillrend in hand the shield of ysgramor in the other, I knew I would win, or so I thought. the ugly bugger blasted me with his fus roh dah and sent me flying straight off the mountain, to my extreme luck I landed precisely in the center of a small lake in the middle of some forest near Falkreath if i recall, I thought that was the end of it but then suddenly this annoying deathlord appeared, I knew it was the same one as he still had my deadric arrow in his eye. As we clashed in the forest it began to rain and set the tone for the final battle, he attatcked me, shattering my defense and almost killing me right there, then i retalliated with one mighty fus roh dah and split his spine on a tree, as he lay on the gnround I swiftly sliced of his head in the rain and left his broken body to rot as it fell backwards into the lake behind him.

come get some more evil draugr and I'll show u what for!

I try to but I'm used to playing a tank, but Tharkun only wears clothing or light arnor and I still (sometimes) run in as though I was a tank and the end results can be either a epic fail or win. I just gotta try and remember not to run head first into things.

I was doen the TG and got as far as when you meet whats her face the nightingale for the first time.We were both outside talken when a bunny ran by,right between us but never thought much about it.That is until I heard the tell-tell sound that troll's make, looked to my left and there was this frost troll running over a little hill after the bunny and straight for us, the fluidness of both my reaction and her's is what stands out to me.She droped to one knee and readied her bow just as I knotched my arrow and we both let go at the same time, both arrows staied side by side, and both were a head shot, I got him in the cheek and she got em in the eye.
Did you know? That if you try and make a run for a building of some sort from a troll that they can open doors and follow you in?That's scary ass sh*#!!!!

My little stealthy lady learned the hard way not to flee into unknown territory. While avoiding spiders in the Rift at night (and i has a lot of glare going) she fell down an embankment and met a Sabre Cat and a Spriggan, so she ran some more, straight into two more spiders, so she ran some more...into a bandit nest in a burned-out cabin. She accidentaly fled in the wrong direciton right back into the pursueing enemies from behind. The fight ranged halfway through the area and lasted until dawn, and now she thinks before she goes sprinting around.

My mage learned a non-cannon lesson about casting the master fire spell in a room with 20-30 dead bodies and dozens and dozens of items. Something about it breaking the world.

It's good to hear someone experiencing epic dragon battle fights, they are by far the best if done correctly. Also I salute you for making the sudden change to Roleplay from your injury of the fight.

I like this thread. We should have more like these, a good break from the typical 'Criticisms regarding Skyrim as game' threads.

My Breton Mage, Draco Arceneau, was strolling through the forests of Falkthreath looking for alchemy supplies. It was a usual misty day in the forest, and he could barely see 10 meters in front of him. Suddenly, a bolt of lightning struck him. He had lost nearly all his health, and quickly got back on his feet, whipping out dual-fire ball spells in the process. Knowing that the next hit would be fatal, he quickly begins to strafe around the misty forest in an attempt to evade the incoming magic attacks. Another crack of lightning hits the tree right beside him. In the distance he spots an incoming group of Thalmor assassins, no doubt seeking retribution for the trouble that Draco caused at their local embassy. He notices two foot-soldiers, but then quickly realizes the true threat, the Thalmor Wizard. Still running (strafing) through the forest, he uses his fireballs to quickly dispatch the two soldiers. He then continues running through the forest, using the trees as cover, to fight the Wizard. The Thalmor Wizard is using the same tactics as Draco, so he must switch to lightning spells for better accuracy. The two go at it for (in-game) hours, evading the other's lightning bolts and using the dense forest for much needed cover. Eventually, Draco lands a lucky shot on the Wizard, stunning him. The Altmer does his best to retaliate, but he was too late, he lost his momentum. Soon after the first Lightning strike, another two followed, simultaneously. The Thalmor Wizard was sent skidding a couple dozen yards through the forest, crashing into a rocky riverbed.

In addition, my Nord, Einar Vunjulf, killed a Frost Troll with a Steel Dagger and a Draugr Death Overlord, both at level 31.
