Phew! Just got back from an epic journey across Skyrim with my buddy Lydia! It was probably the best experience I've ever had in the game.
The aim was to journey from Whiterun to Northwatch Keep, completing a quest for the Companions and one for the Greymanes. With the help of various brilliant mods, and my own insistance to walk everywhere rather than run, I had a rather unique experience!
I've tried to keep it as short as possible, but also put it behind a spoiler tag just in case (there are spoilers too).

Spoiler

Day 1- Breakfast at Jorrvaskr, before fetching Lydia from Dragonsreach. Buy supplies from the Market, buy two horses. Head out from Whiterun (http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/469738731857150952/BA5B807EA5355E47DFDC855CCD62470DFF4BE31E/) and travel along the road northwards. Follow the road until nightfall, where we set up camp for the night(http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/469738731857177848/9AFD0F15F5715B4A05242678CE4AAD080CC02D05/).

Day 2- Breakfast, then pack up camp and head North to Dawnstar (http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/469738731857187254/71E15438868AD5A73954EACE8C20D96753C28867/). Spend the day selling and buying gear. Rent a room at the inn, then sneak out. Head to Fort Fellhammer and wipe out the Silver Hand there to avenge Skjor. Transform and head back before morning.

Day 3- Breakfast at the inn, then head onwards. Travel for most of the day, stopping at night at Stonechills mining community to eat and sleep with the workers (http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/469738731857225551/AE10EB7E94F8C75B838431811866E98888F2021E/).

Day 4- Early start, with breakfast and heading onward to Morthal. Stop to have a wash in the lake when a dragon attacks! Take the dragon down, with help from town guards (http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/469738731857196160/A29AD51826C8303B05B58F773AD6607B25F8678E/). Investigate the burned building on the edge of town. Have dinner at the inn and book a room there. Finally meet the scandalous Alva, and pickpocket her house key. Head to the graveyard to look into the recent deaths...

Day 5- Investigate Alva and slay the vampire! Expose Movarth and venture into his lair with Lydia and Thronnir (http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/469738731857158926/0D98B63BB3EC974F81B07E9E74A0279B753D599B/) and finally put an end to him. Inform the Jarl and relax at the inn after a job well done.

Day 6- Head out along the road and get our first glimpse of Solitude (http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/470864733051626550/C922195C6BCA260A8B5BD06B88D17AC579D7FA92/). Pick up Meeko along the way, and pass through Dragon Bridge. Finnaly arrive at Solitude in time to sell some gear and retire to the tavern.

Day 7- Journey North and meet up with Avulstein. Wait until dark and launch a sneak attack on the Thalmor and rescue Thorald (http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/470864733076605009/8E6A89E3AFC564A20CEABADDCA53EF03E3728A7E/)! Find an abandoned camp nearby and rest there until morning.

Day 8- Head back to Solitude. Get hopelessly lost and arrive later than planned. Take down another dragon along the road (http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542922535403539392/4C1D2AE675BF638585198F963997198A970EE7D3/), before getting back and visiting the Jarl at the Blue Palace. Asked to run some errands. Head out AGAIN, and wipe out a vampire lair, then take down an ancient evil (http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542922535403525897/495DDCF17B3B53D2D7D26BED6B5E5507CC7F3B60/)! Finally set up camp on the road, and have a midnight hunt before falling asleep.

Day 9- Return to Solitude, and get more supplies. Relax and enjoy the last night there (http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542923341524135851/242099F2B25E60187F91320DFD5030326A436513/), then retire to bed.

Day 10- Set out nice and early, and take the South road to Rorkistead. Investigate a destroyed caravan and an abandoned camp. Wipe out the dangerous Robber's Gorge and salvage some treasure. Rest there for the night (http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542923341524149026/103A130F9459D5A4F2D5253379BA4120E995589D/).

Day 11- Move onwards again, wiping out more bandits along the road. Find a deceased man called Lund and clear his home of skeevers. Arrive at Rorikstead and have lunch. It's getting late, so stay the night (http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542923341524139921/ED9D1E54A4D39AC8FD5C804F0E5D5DAF8897F503/).

Day 12- Start the last leg of the journey. Ride the road across the tundra, passing farmers, crazy nords, shady orcs and friendly giants (http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542923341524152848/1865C926980ADF135F5B8361EF16D9417FCBBD4E/). Finally see Whiterun in the distance (http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542923341524159900/23CEF0EA8152AFDDBBCF1E8148B148F2586F5AFD/). Make sure horses are stabled and proceed to sell excess gear. Dismiss Lydia, and inform Fralia Greymane of her son's escape, then head back to Jorrvaskr. Have dinner, then go to bed. Congratulate self on a successful adventure! That came out good. Even when zoomed in. There is little to no artifacting going on.

Oh that first shot... I imagined the leeks would spring onto Nazeem's face. :evil:

"Ouch!" looks just awesome. the lightning effect makes it look like Fish-Breath is glowing/fading away.
And of course, that aurora is just stunning. :ribbon:

I've never seen one in Whiterun in my game, though. *sniff*
