I was getting sick of being stuck with these amulets of talos. It said it was a quest item and couldn't drop it but they kept accumulating in my inventory. If you are annoyed by this go to Solitude with your amulet. There's a little girl named Svari. Talk to her and get her to talk about her mother going to temple. Go talk to her mother and give her the amulet. You can now drop the rest. I am sharing this with you because it was annoying for me and figured you guys could appreciate it.
