There were like 17 sidequests in fallout 3, I really hope there's more than double.
i agree, they've downplayed a lot about this game, they don't want to upstage FO3 too much, but as awesome as FO3 was, there were lots of faults and areas that needed improving, so far obsidian is adressing these issues, like better skill, perk and SPECIAL system, more weapons, weapons mods, more enterable buildings, bigger settllements, more npc's, better companion system, more quests, so they are aware that one big complaint about FO3 was a lack of official quests, sure FO3 had quests like collecting cameras or pre war books, and thats all fine, but we need the feel of more quests on the docket, the feeling of plenty of quests to do each playthrough, FO3 they tauted as 100 hours to explore the entire game and do all the quests, NV on the other hand pete hines and everyone else so far making the game has kept saying how huge it is and that there is 300+ hours of exploring etc. so i think it is gonna be more like oblivion as far as official quests, plus there is prob better repeatable quests, guarding the caravans or something. so i'm confident we'll have a good number of quests even though they say they are shorter, there is gonna be more to do in this game for sure than FO3. i'm pretty positive about that.
