Sides

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 12:11 pm

Hello all.
I have a question about joining sides.
I made a security character, but everytime I join a server (the one with 16 players) I am on the resistance side.
I do have the perks I bought, but what does my character look like? Is it random or my own?

If you've customised your Resistance appearance (every character can be customised for BOTH sides), then you'll have your Resistance custom. If not, then you'll be stuck with the default setup (only your chosen face, scars/tattoos, and voice settings for the character carry over between the two sides)

Hmmmm, I didn't see that u could customize for both. Can someone put out a quick how to for that, I didn't really look for it I guess, but only noticed yesterday that my character was different as Resistance in the cut scenes.
It does seem kind of odd, that you choose a side, but then play as both. But I guess if you didn't the maps and challenges would be even more limited at this point.

When you're on the customisation screen on PS3, there's a prompt in the top-right corner that shows the triangle button next to the currently-selected faction icon. Press triangle (I'd assume it's a Y icon on 360, not sure what it would be on PC, you probably just click on it or something), and it flicks across to let you customise the opposite version as well.

there's a button you press in the appearance customization menu to switch side you're customizing. it's shown in the top-right corner of the screen.

But why is it that you're always forced to be once side during a mission when we choose Freeplay? Every time I select certain maps, I'm always one side or the other all the time.

For example, I load up the Container City map and start the match. I'm always Resistance for that map, defending the city from Security. I can't seem to ever be Security trying to break through their gate. Why?

Ah, thanks, found the little button.
Sad you can't make him from scratch, I wanted his body and face in scars, now I have the same tattoo on him. =/
