Sierra Madre's Holograms

Post » Fri Jul 01, 2011 2:51 pm

I've learned all I can about the Holograms of the Sierra Madre but there's one thing I can't quite put my finger on. I read somewhere that the plan of the Sierra Madre was to "Begin Again". This begin again thing was greatly involving holograms. I read that even in death the residents could "Begin Again" as holograms.

I don't get this. I see how Dean Domino "Begins Again" if he dies and his hologram gets pulled up and he sings forever to no audience. (Which is extremely sad by the way.) They also had Vera Keyes "Begin Again" in death because her hologram walks the Executive Suites.

My question is, can anyone provide a bit more insight on this topic? I mean, I've only read little tidbits of information talking about "Beginning Again" in death, but there's not enough information in entirety. How do they begin again? Why does it make the new Holograms? I'd really like to know, it's quite an interesting ploy of the game.

(And is just me, or do I think the part of Dean Domino's hologram "Beginning Again" and singing in a dark, empty theater just so depressing? I mean, for some reason I think that a part of Dean truly lives on in his hologram, and I don't know why. I think it is just so dark and demented that he would sing forever --literally until the end of time!-- all alone never to be heard.)

Guess its like it copys data from what its seen you do in the hotel and make it into a clone We may see somthing about that in OWB seeing as how they are from it. Also that [censored] dean had every thing he had coming to him seeing what he did to Vera.

Another thing I don't understand is that if that was the case, why aren't the slaughtered Sierra Madre residents walking the casino's halls?

And about the Climate Control. What was it for? To keep the skies clear and gorgeous?

I think the reason everyone doesn't get a hologram becuase holograms seem really expensive I mean if you spend enough to make the casino and villa you can't have that much more. Climate control was probably to keep guests happy or to clear fallout.

Don't care what it means, it creeps me out and that's all that matters.

Don't forget that Sinclair knew the war was coming. A big climate control system was probably to try and prevent airborne radiation.
As for the holograms, I just see it as a way of preserving the past, like introducing your children to an Elvis record, or Shakespeare play allows their work to carry on after their death. And just as records became tapes, became CDs, became MP3s. If we had hologram tech their work would be preserved and updated with each generation.
