No silencer for the 9mm (well, not that Iv'e seen). The 12.7mm has a silencer mod, and is a much better weapon.

where?

No such critter. Extended mags and scope are the entirety of mods available for the 9mm pistol, extended mags and lighter bolt (faster rate of fire) are it for the 9mm SMG.

There is a silencer for 10mm pistol, and as already said, 12.7mm pistol. Both of which are more powerful.

i found 12.7 mm ammo to be pretty scace tho, in start contrast to 9mm. the 12.7 mm with hollow points and silencer is a beast of an assassination tool for pretty much anyone unarmored tho

No. There is for the Varmint Rifle and Sniper Rifle, those are the only silenced rifles. And of course the unique Ratslayer.

At worst there is a pre-silenced .22mm pistol and at later levels a silenced .22mm SMG available.

12.7mm ammo takes a while to show up, but once you're high enough level it should be available in batches of hundreds of rounds.

Nope, only extended mags and the scope. The 10mm and 12.7mm pistols have silencer mods.

Yeah, but it's probably more worth it to sell, I saw that a fully repaired 10mm pistol vs. a 12.7mm pistol in about 18% repair was 1,000 to 1,200 caps, and the ammo is way to uncommon on my behaff to excessively use as a secondary, or use at all for that matter.

12.7mm ammo is uncommon, are you kidding? Sgt. Morales in McCarran Airport sells like 1000+ rounds of it every week! I bought a stash off him after cleaning up in Caravan. Too bad the only free 12.7mm pistol in the game is in that Nightstalker filled caved by the BOS safehouse. Otherwise you'd have to kill a Great Khan to get one, they seem to love them. Or wait for an NCR trooper to get killed in the Hoover Dam battle at the end of the game because everybody has overpowered weapons by then.

True, but I never really stay in my playthroughs long enough to get to the part where all the weapons and ammo get very common. So for me, it's a very rare occasion to find any 12.7 pistols or ammo just by wandering around, which is the only way how I'm ever going to find it at my point. But really, I can get fine with a 9mm against most common enemies, and you've got to admit, the pistol makes great profit.

The easiest way to get the 12.7mm pistol is to pickpocket them from the Great Khans. Steal their 12.7mm ammo, wait a while and the pistol will show up in their inventory.

The 12.7mm SMG also has a silencer mod and it's sold by merchants when you're at higher levels.

The problem with both weapons is that they both have really bad spread. The 12.7mm pistol has the worst spread out of all the pistols and the 12.7mm SMG has the worst spread for an automatic weapon, tied with the 10mm SMG but the 10mm SMG has a mod that decreases spread while the 12.7mm SMG does not.
