There are two bandits standing next to each other, I shoot an arrow into one (killing him) and run away to stay hidden. After five seconds of searching for me, the bandit gives up and says well I guess it was nothing that shot my friend in the face with an arrow, he must have died of natural causes.

happens to me all the time. with 100 sneak, most of the stealth perks and fortify sneak enchantments, you could be ten feet away, at high noon, with nary a blade of grass to obscure their vision, and they'd never know why all their friends just died in front of them.

Obviously that arrow has been there since birth...
