Simply THE coolest note ever to arrive by courier. Ever.

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 6:20 pm

I just got a genuine jolt of surprise. A courier came and delivered me a note. I get those all the time, from some random dragon person that tells me where shouts are. I wasn't thinking anything of it at all.

After a few minutes of frolicking about, I decide I could use a new shout word. So I open up my inventory and http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/596956495815419736/A470748416DBF43F5BB395DEF60FDAD24B45AF3A/. My heart... literally skipped a beat. Holy crap. That was totally unexpected. So far I have had no associations with these guys, but I do have a suspicion of why I got the note. That is totally cool. I can't wait to see where this ends up going... or if it goes anywhere at all.

Nice touch, Bethesda. I have to hand it to you, you are getting better at designing quests and intriguing events in the game. If only you could get the hang of coherent and engaging quest lines, we'd be looking at the best video game series of all time.

I believe if you complete the quest for Aventus Aretino and you don't sleep for a while, the Courier sends you a letter. Try going to sleep.

If you did go to sleep and triggered a certain quest, it never felt better to be an Archer with slow motion >:D

I did. And it was. Although, I have to say I probably turned that one completely on its head. I don't know who that woman thought she was, giving me orders like that. She won't make that mistake again.

It's a very nice little touch.

Although when I finally followed through on it I
Spoiler
slaughtered Astrid and dumped 15 Dark Brotherhood contracts on her body.

:P

One of the best examples of the Radiant quest system IMO. That you can do that at all, and that it leads in a massively different direction to conforming, is very cool.
