I have 10 perception 8 (+2) with these glasses I found.

I want to buy this hat that grants +1 perception. Will it give me 11 or would it be a waste?

No SPECIAL stat can go above 10. It would be a waste.

So is it fair to say that even getting any SPECIAL up to 10 at the start (default) would be a waste? Since you're bound to encounter gear that may boost it.

No attribute should be more than 9 at the beginning.

OMG what are those called and where did you find them!? I'd love to have those. with 4 eyes trait, that'd bump me up to 9 perception <3 then i can buy the hat XD :mohawk:

the glasses are in one of the houses in the beginning, near the Docs. They are on a coffee table and are hard to see. I believe there is an active radio in that particular house

edit: the hat is sold by the vendor in that same town @ the general good store.
