Skooma Idea

Post » Fri Jul 06, 2012 11:19 pm

What if when you drink Skooma, you get a disease where if you don't drink you loose ten health to your point system, and this happens every 24 Skyrim hours, and the only way to get rid of this disease is if you get a special potion.

I think from an RP standpoint, this is awesome. That being said, the mainstream will rebel against it.

In shivering isles you could become addicted to Feldrew so they could add it to Skyrim

only briefly for a quest ... but yes a decent enough idea , although a mod will make this before beth does

I love this idea, you lose ten points of health every day you aren't cured or dont drink more skooma(which won't cure you only make the effect go away temporarily)

Skooma and alcohol should have worked like Fallout or at LEAST oblivion where they actually had drawbacks and skooma gave you brain damage you had to go to the chapel to cure.

Yes a Fallout style addiction system would have been much appreciated in Skyrim I believe. I didn't like the alcoholism one though as to be honest people need to drink something in the Wasteland and in Skyrim, if alcohol is the only thing available then giving you alcoholism for drinking one bottle of beer everyday is a bit unrealistic. Skooma should definetely have an addiction consequence though, especially given it's reputation.

Thus the reason i wonder why mods didn't just make skyrim in the first place...
Seriously, with the amount of mods put into the game why didn't they just make the game themselves?! Better yet, why not just have the 'mods' make their own game.
Or even more, why is Bethesda making games period when mods can just make them?
