I just reinstalled skyrim -- and got S.K.S.E Loader 1_5_8 -- It told me to get latest version of skyrim -- but i am fairly certain my steam has already auto updated? It has been installed all day.


Then i tried base loading skyrim from steam and got the error S:0000065432 error -- that went away after steam reload.

The SKSE is still telling me to update.


any advice / Knowledge?

SKSE 1.5.8 is meant to be used with the Skyrim 1.6 beta that is available via an opt-in basis from Steam. If you are using Skyrim 1.5.26, which is the current non-beta release, you'll want to use SKSE 1.4.15, as explained on the http://skse.silverlock.org/.

On a second note -- what does it mean generally when you launch skyrim successfully and the menu screen doesnt load entirely --

Just the logo -- no menu options
