Skull of Corruption really corrupts?

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 3:20 pm

Ok, here's the thing, I have stored away this artifact in my house in Whiterun, and suddenly out of nowhere Lydia(who has been stationed in my house alongside with the Skull for ages now) starts attacking me whenever I enter the house, and that's where the Skull comes into the picture, as even though I have it stored in one of my cupboards; she always picks it up and uses it against me.

Anyone had similar experiences or heard about this case before?

Never heard of this before, I've had it stored in one of my chests in Breezehome and Lydia (or any NPC for that matter) has never attacked me in there.

Lydia stopped sitting in her chair and now only sleeps in my bed.

I think there may be a bug at work.

Hmm, I've tried sneaking in and removing the staff and re-enter, but alas the damage seems to be done as she's still hostile, even though I still find her annoying and useless I'm not quite ready to finish her off yet.

And by that note, anyone knows of a console command so I can calm her down so she'll go back to here friendly stance?

Calm?
Pacify?

Maybe those spells may work...

Then, leave for 30 in-game days for her to reset... Oh wait!

Lol, video please, this is too hilarious to just read.

Also, did you do something to upset her? Abuse her?

Stopcombat should work for the console command.

As far as I know, it involved abuse with the skull of corruption.

Nope, no physical abuse atleast, but mayhap she just snapped and got a mental breakdown due to that I've left her alone for too long

Stopcombat should work for the console command.

Alright, thanks, I'll give it a go.

EDIT; Stopcombat didn't help, it just paused her attacks for a brief sec and she was back at it again.

Neither did the spells Calm or Pacify.
