Skull of Corruption is True Evil...lol

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 1:47 pm

I've read alot about the Skull of Corruption being weak and useless. Not just forum posts but from the actual players guide too.

So i've been using the Skullf of Corruption mainly for the look with my evil vampire i made. After feeding i would use the staff to absorb their dreams.

A few times i would charge up the staff and use it on enemies and it would not that much damage. I found it useless.

So i let my Girlfriend play (shes a newb) and run rampant with my Evil Vampire From hell.. Shes fast travels to solitude and all the guards go crazy and try to kill the 'vampire'. Shes bascially about to die in seconds...

But.

By accident she has the Skull of Corrution equipped and starts to spam, spam, spam, spam the attack buton. I see like 40 dreams drain from the staff in seconds and watch all of Solitude get wiped out. I mean dead bodies flying everywhere and everybody dead. Not just guards but everyone else close..

I was shocked at what i saw.

Now i use it always.. It pretty much wipes out everything in seconds. Keeping it well stocked with dreams is a chor but so worth it.

Seriously... That staff is bad ass.

Oooh, thanks for the tip. I hadn't much messed with the staff - fun character concept.. the sandman, the ultimate thief ;p

Sneaking into people's houses at night and stealing not only their possessions but their very dreams... and then unleashing them upon their hapless foes xD

Edit: What difficulty mode? - it only does 50 damage according to the guide when powered by dreams. Which is like, bugger all

THANK YOU A THOUSAND TIMES, for giving me a new character to play with next time! :D

His name will be The Sandman! Any idea what race he should be? Dunmer?

Skull of corruption - pah! Waste of care. Did a better job in Oblivion with it. Feels like gamesas nerfed it for Skyrim.

More reason why having an awesome staff is better than having another follower who I'll never use since I can hire a billion more.

It fits a ''nightcrawler'' type of character now though :P

Ya it only does 50 damage..

But it has a huge splash damage radius and can be spammed really fast. I don't even know if charging the staff before casting has any real effect. But i know you don't even have to directly aim it at your enemy's. You can just cast it near you enemy's and it does damage. The faster you can quick cast it the more damage per second it did.

Way i look at it.. When powered up by dreams It does 50 damage per cast. And about 200-250 per second when quick casted.

It has an impact radius of of about 10-15 feet. Which means it can do about 200-250 damage per second on any amount of enemys. And as insuslt to injury it gives a ragdoll effect to the people you kill.

My character is level 55 and on master.

If anyone really wants to see this really rip. Run though any major city as a level 4 vampire. Everyone will chase you. If you have any calm style magic or abilty (voice of the emperor works good). Round them all up, calm them and spam cast that staff as fast as possible. This will give you a real show of what the staff can do...lol

..................And then if you are really sick, like me. You can use the Ritual Stone and walk around with the biggest posse of Undead Servents you have ever seen..lol

But the fun costs dreams. I've let 40 dreams rip out of that staff in seconds. Its a dream guzzler.

Funny. I started my Character just to make a fun low level evil charcter to play with. And then i couldn't stop. He went from a minor Vampire to pure Evil.

I even joined the Dark Brother Hood and played it in a non stealthy way. Every assassination was done with NO stealth in mind..

I didn't poison the soup. I used voice of the emporer in the dining room, jumped on the table, Skull of Corrupted everyone in seconds and walked out of Solitude with a (ritual stone) party..lol

And I didn't just assinate the emporer at the end. I plowed my way through everyone with that Skull of Corruption. Dead Guards flying eveywhere....

Ahh good times..
